Call for Papers

As planners, Emme users are constantly looking to the future, envisioning it and trying to make it work better. But we also need to look to the future of our tools. An important evolution of Emme will take place this year, with the advent of Emme 3. Still, more profound changes are expected, with the recent evolution of dynamic microsimulation models. How should Emme interact with these new modelling approaches?

You are invited to submit an abstract for a paper or presentation of interest to travel demand modeling practitioners using Emme or looking at the new challenges linked to its usage in the future. Submitted papers will be reviewed and chosen papers will be organized into subject areas to form the final program of the conference.

Suggested areas:

  • Regional model development and calibration
  • Transit modelling methods
  • Policy evaluation (pricing, HOT lanes)
  • Using Emme for greenhouse gas and other environmental studies
  • Interface of Emme with other software (GIS, traffic, etc.)
  • Integration with other models (Land Use, Activity-based)
  • Interaction with dynamic models or microsimulation models for sub-network analysis
  • Non-traditional uses of Emme
Abstracts should be limited to 500 words in length. The abstract should clearly state the purpose, results, and conclusions of the work to be described in the final paper. Please provide the name of the author(s), organization, address, phone and fax number and e-mail address, as well as a short biographical note for the main author.
